Photo 3-24, top right. Grabbing the head of the ax will give you a firm grip as you move your feet upward.
Photo 3-25 bottom left. From this position, continue moving your feet upward and repeat the sequence or use the self-belay technique to secure your ax for the final moves to climb over the lip.
